Nurse Practitioner - Surgery Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

• Provide cardiothoracic surgery support coverage one weekend per month
• 
  
• Work schedule: Friday 5pm to Monday 7am with 24-hour call responsibilities
• 
  
• Support urgent surgical procedures from cath lab to surgery
• 
  
• Manage patients transitioning from ICU to home discharge
• 
  
• Perform special procedures including vein harvesting
• 
  
• Treat adult patient population (18+ years)
• 
  
• Work with EPIC electronic medical records system
• 
  
• Collaborate with surgeon who provides backup support after consultation
• 
  
• Handle stable patients that can wait until Monday for procedures
• 
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• 
  
• Pennsylvania license and DEA registration required
• 
  
• Acute care certification not required
