Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

• Cardiothoracic surgery and EVH experience required with a minimum of 2 years in CT Surgery
• 
  
• Level 2 trauma facility with OR, ICU, and floor management responsibilities
• 
  
• Weekday schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with weeknight call coverage
• 
  
• Weekend coverage requires 24-hour on-call availability
• 
  
• Daily OR assistance with 1 to 2 cases per day
• 
  
• Averages approximately 125 CABG cases per year with few emergent cases
• 
  
• Call ratio of 1:2
• 
  
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities; focus is on daily OR and inpatient management
• 
  
• Proficiency required in all aspects of Cardiothoracic Surgery including CABG, EVH, open valvular surgery, and thoracic procedures such as thoracotomy and lobectomy
• 
  
• Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) required
• 
  
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 
  
• Clean malpractice and background history required
