Opportunity:

Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

  • Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage Monday through Friday with call responsibilities 1-2 weekdays and weekends

  • Night call coverage from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM

  • Assignment duration of 6-9 months starting as soon as credentialed

  • Work in office/clinic setting 5% and hospital setting 95%

  • Full-time 1.0 FTE position serving adult patients 100%

  • Manage 5-10 hospital patients per day with 0-3 admissions and 2-7 ICU patients

  • Participate in 1-2 surgeries per day

  • Required procedures include general cardiovascular/thoracic surgery, coronary artery bypass surgery on pump, and valvular repair/replacement

  • Must have OR experience and cardiothoracic surgery background

  • Assist in surgeries and provide rounding and clinic support as needed

  • Work with EPIC electronic medical record system

  • Support staff includes RN Navigators, MAs, 2 physicians, and 4 midlevels

  • Certified NP required with WA license highly preferred

  • Clean malpractice and background history highly preferred
