Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

• Surgical PA with a minimum of 1+ year of surgical experience required
• 
  
• Must be licensed in Ohio
• 
  
• Provide coverage for hospital rounding, surgery (elective and emergent), and assistance in clinic
• 
  
• Required procedures include CABG, thoracic, vascular, and cardiac surgery
• 
  
• Schedule includes 24-hour call on weekends (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM), hourly shifts on weekdays (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM), and night call on weekdays (4:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 
  
• Preferred skills include removal of chest tubes, removal of pulmonary artery catheters, removal of epicardial wires, removal of intra-aortic balloon pump, and vein and artery harvesting
• 
  
• EMR systems used include Meditech and eCW
• 
  
• On-call coverage required for nights and weekends
• 
  
• Board Certification (NCCPA), ACLS, and DEA certifications required
• 
  
• Clean malpractice history highly preferred
