Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology

Job Details:

• Locum Nurse Practitioner position in Cardiology providing inpatient coverage Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• 
  
• 100% inpatient setting working independently alongside an Interventional Cardiologist
• 
  
• Responsibilities include managing new patients, follow-up visits, rounding, documentation, discharge planning, and coordination of care
• 
  
• Average patient volume of 10-15+ patients per day based on volume
• 
  
• Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients
• 
  
• Call coverage required with beeper/phone call format at a 1:3 or 1:4 call ratio with an average of 2 hours of callback time
• 
  
• Weekend call coverage required
• 
  
• EMR documentation via EPIC
• 
  
• Board Certification in Advanced Practice NP required
• 
  
• Active Virginia license required
• 
  
• Active ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications required
• 
  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience or similar required
• 
  
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required
