    Opportunity:

    Physician Assistant - Specialized - 1089 ? Critical Care Advance Practice


    Job Details:

    • Day shift position: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM with the option for 7 on / 7 off scheduling if needed

    • Seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for assignment in a multi-specialty medical-surgical community hospital ICU

    • Work alongside attending physicians to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients

    • Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting with a typical APP to patient ratio of 10-15 ICU patients per APP

    • Collaborate with attending physicians to develop plans of care and communicate dynamic changes throughout each shift

    • Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions

    • Order entry via Cerner EMR and thorough documentation including History and Physicals, Consultations, Event/Follow-up Notes, and Procedure Notes

    • Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate findings with ICU nursing staff

    • Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds each shift

    • Perform invasive procedures including central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, and introducers) and arterial line insertions

    • NP candidates must be Acute Care Certified (ACNP)

    • Valid national and state licensure required

    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an ICU setting required

    • Proficiency with ICU procedures, specifically central and arterial line insertions, is required
