Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care
Job Details:
- Provide inpatient acute care coverage with 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Handle 14-16 patient encounters per shift in high-acuity ICU setting
- Perform daily responsibilities including admissions, discharges, and running codes
- Execute procedures such as intubation, central line placement, dialysis line insertion, and arterial lines
- Maintain communication with internal floors and coordinate patient transfers
- Work with physician support available during day shifts and by phone during night shifts
- Must be an acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) due to ICU acuity requirements
- Potential placement on Neurology ICU for neurology/neurosurgery patients
- Prefer 1-2 years of acute care experience
- Active license and DEA required
- Board certified or truly board eligible status required
- BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
