Opportunity:

NP;PA - Critical Care Medicine


Job Details:

  • Manage approximately 10-15 critically ill patients per day across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients in a high-acuity environment

  • Perform bedside procedures including central and arterial line placements

  • Manage post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients

  • Provide care for neurocritical care patients, including those with subdural hemorrhages and external ventricular drains (EVDs)

  • Participate in the management of patients requiring ventricular assist devices (VADs), VA ECMO, and heart transplant support

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including fellows, residents, and attending physicians to coordinate patient care and treatment plans

  • Three APPs provide coverage across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units

  • Pulmonary patients are managed in a step-down setting with support from an on-site Pulmonary Fellow

  • Attending physicians are available for consultation and support as needed

  • Prior Critical Care APP experience required

  • Experience with neurocritical care, cardiovascular critical care, VADs, ECMO, and transplant patients preferred

  • Active state license required at time of presentation; IMLC not accepted
