Manage approximately 10-15 patients per day across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units
Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients in a high-acuity environment
Perform bedside procedures including central and arterial line placements
Manage post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients
Provide care for neurocritical care patients, including those with subdural hemorrhages and external ventricular drains (EVDs)
Participate in the management of patients requiring ventricular assist devices (VADs), VA ECMO, and heart transplant support
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including fellows, residents, and attending physicians to coordinate patient care and treatment plans
Three APPs provide coverage across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units
Pulmonary patients are managed in a step-down setting with support from an on-site Pulmonary Fellow
Trauma and NICU residents are on-site with attending physicians available for consultation and support
Prior Critical Care APP experience required
Experience with neurocritical care, cardiovascular critical care, VADs, ECMO, and transplant patients preferred
Active state license required at time of presentation; IMLC not accepted
