Java Developer

Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Contract

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture, along with experience working in collaborative Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications and microservices.
• Build and maintain backend services using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and web services.
• Implement data persistence solutions using Hibernate/JPA.
• Collaborate with UI, QA, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Optimize application performance and implement secure coding practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and Agile development processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8 or higher).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, including:
  • Spring Boot
  • Spring MVC
  • Spring Security
• Experience developing RESTful Web Services and Microservices.
• Strong understanding of Hibernate/JPA and ORM concepts.
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with application monitoring and performance tuning.
