Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
NP or PA with a minimum of 2 years of extensive Emergency Department experience required
No new graduates will be considered at this time
Shifts available: morning (9:00 AM - 9:00 PM) and mid shift (3:00 PM - 1:00 AM)
All dates and times needed; no call coverage required
Facility operates as a freestanding emergency department with 10 beds and 1 trauma bay
Daily census of approximately 80 patients per day, with a patient population consisting mostly of Level 4 and Level 5 acuity cases
Support staff includes 24-hour physician coverage, 2-4 nurses, and 1 imaging technician available 24/7
Basic emergency room procedures required including laceration repair, splinting, and incision and drainage
Procedure competency is required; ventilator management is not required
No rounding or ICU coverage involved
Follow-up cases handled primarily through outpatient referrals

This freestanding emergency department provides dedicated emergency care services to the surrounding community, operating with round-the-clock physician coverage and a full support team. The facility is affiliated with a Level 2 trauma center, ensuring patients requiring higher acuity care are appropriately transferred. The department maintains a focused and efficient environment, primarily treating moderate acuity cases while offering a collaborative and well-supported work setting.
