Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine

Job Details:

• Family Medicine CRNP or PA role providing coverage in an outpatient county correctional facility setting
• 
  
• Full-time position requiring 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every two weeks
• 
  
• Schedule: Thursday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; every other Wednesday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• 
  
• Night shift responsibilities include assessment of individuals entering the facility and initial treatment of acute and chronic medical needs
• 
  
• Supervise initiation of detox treatment for newly incarcerated individuals in collaboration with substance use specialist nurses
• 
  
• Evaluate urgent and emergent medical issues as they arise during overnight hours
• 
  
• Primary patient population is adult men and women, with rare adolescent cases
• 
  
• Current facility population is approximately 1,750 to 1,800 individuals with likely higher patient encounter volumes
• 
  
• Provider works as the only clinician on-site overnight with in-house nursing support and a physician available by telephone
• 
  
• No call responsibilities required
• 
  
• Previous night shift and emergency medicine experience strongly preferred
• 
  
• Active Pennsylvania license required
• 
  
• Full-time candidates only will be considered
