Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.

Job Summary
The Trauma/Gen Surgery Inpt Weekend APP (Advanced Practice Provider) works within the adult progressive and acute care areas and is an integral member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The APP functions primarily in managing critically and acutely ill adults and serves as a resource throughout UKHC for intensive care interventions. The APP is generally on a service-aligned team and manages patient care through discharge.
In some instances, the APP may have responsibilities for this same patient population in the intensive care unit and as they return for follow-up in the outpatient setting. The APP has a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education and is responsible for ensuring safe, quality care.
The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.
