    Description

    Opportunity:

    NP/PA - Trauma Surgery

    Job Details:

    • Provide trauma and acute care surgery coverage through October

    • Work 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM)

    • Coverage includes trauma alerts, inpatient care, OR support, and rounding

    • Handle trauma alerts and surgical consultations

    • Perform admitting, rounding, and OR support for trauma and acute care surgery

    • Facilitate discharges, ER admissions, and house codes/rapid response teams

    • Insert and manage ventilation, chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, and PICC lines

    • Provide minor laceration suturing

    • Manage non-invasive ventilatory support (BiPAP/CPAP)

    • Respond to ED for trauma alerts and surgical consultations

    • Work under supervision with physician present in-house 24/7

    • Must be NP with RNFA or PA

    • Requires active New Jersey state license

    • BLS, ACLS, and ATLS or ATCN certifications required

    • Experience in trauma and acute care surgery required

    • Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred
