Opportunity:
NP/PA - Trauma Surgery
Job Details:
- Provide trauma and acute care surgery coverage through October
- Work 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM)
- Coverage includes trauma alerts, inpatient care, OR support, and rounding
- Handle trauma alerts and surgical consultations
- Perform admitting, rounding, and OR support for trauma and acute care surgery
- Facilitate discharges, ER admissions, and house codes/rapid response teams
- Insert and manage ventilation, chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, and PICC lines
- Provide minor laceration suturing
- Manage non-invasive ventilatory support (BiPAP/CPAP)
- Respond to ED for trauma alerts and surgical consultations
- Work under supervision with physician present in-house 24/7
- Must be NP with RNFA or PA
- Requires active New Jersey state license
- BLS, ACLS, and ATLS or ATCN certifications required
- Experience in trauma and acute care surgery required
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred
