Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - General

Job Details:

• Hospital-based general surgery position with inpatient trauma call coverage
• 
  
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM onsite
• 
  
• Coverage period from June 30, 2026 through December 31, 2026
• 
  
• See approximately 15-20 patients per day
• 
  
• Handle general surgical cases for adult and trauma patients
• 
  
• Perform procedures including central line insertion, chest tube insertion, and vascular access devices
• 
  
• Work alongside trauma surgeons who are available on call from home
• 
  
• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system
• 
  
• Weekend coverage required
• 
  
• Must be certified as a Physician Assistant
• 
  
• Active Michigan license required
• 
  
• ACLS and ATLS certifications required
• 
  
• DEA registration required
• 
  
• Local candidates preferred
