Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

Job Details:

• Full-time locum coverage needed with consideration for providers willing to cover 2-3 weeks per month
• 
  
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break; overtime applies after 9-hour day
• 
  
• Work alongside a team of 3 MDs and 3 APPs with support from RNs, MAs, navigators, and infusion RNs
• 
  
• Radiation oncology services available on-site
• 
  
• Bone marrow biopsies required
• 
  
• 1:4 weekly hospital call, Friday 7:30 AM to Friday 7:30 AM, with daily rounding for 1-2 hours Monday through Sunday
• 
  
• Weekday afternoon rounding from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
• 
  
• Coverage of acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients with phone call responsibilities
• 
  
• Clinic weekday call is shared, covering add-on consults and supervising chemotherapy patients as needed
• 
  
• Each provider supervises their own patients in the chemo clinic
• 
  
• Documentation required for post-Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post-CAR-T cell therapy patients
• 
  
• Approximately 15 patient encounters per shift
• 
  
• Board certification required with minimum board certification eligibility
• 
  
• ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
• 
  
• Level 2 trauma facility
