Nurse Practitioner - Hematology/Oncology

Job Details:

• Inpatient Hematology/Oncology APP (PA or NP) position available with locums to permanent options
• 
  
• Day shift schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 
  
• Full-time coverage required with no call expectations
• 
  
• See 11-16 patients per day across all age groups
• 
  
• Department is hematology/oncology focused within a 686-bed hospital
• 
  
• EMR system: Epic - charting experience required with same-day documentation expected for inpatient services
• 
  
• Strong hematology focus required - must have experience and comfort level with benign and malignant hematology patients
• 
  
• Responsibilities include initial inpatient consults, ongoing patient care, and discharge execution
• 
  
• Outpatient responsibilities include cycle 1 day 1 chemotherapy overview, ongoing chemotherapy visits, and survivorship visits
• 
  
• Provide Hypersensitivity Reaction supervision and triage support/medical record in-basket support
• 
  
• APP support available on the inpatient side during daytime hours for both hematology and oncology
• 
  
• Knowledge of bone marrow practice preferred but specialized experience not required
• 
  
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• 
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• 
  
• MN state license required; DEA not required
• 
  
• Board Certification as PA or NP required
