Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Hematology Oncology, Nurse Practitioner - Hematology Oncology

Job Details:

• Outpatient, clinic-only position with no call requirements
• 
  
• Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break; option to work Monday through Wednesday on 10-hour shifts
• 
  
• 3 to 4 days per week required with 8 guaranteed hours per day
• 
  
• Work alongside an oncologist, with some days working independently
• 
  
• Manage hematology oncology patients in the infusion suite
• 
  
• Manage in-basket and respond to patients regarding lab results
• 
  
• Collaborate with the oncology nurse navigator to triage calls
• 
  
• No rounding required
• 
  
• Work within a newly renovated clinic alongside a team of infusion nurses, an oncology nurse navigator, medical assistants, an oncology dietitian, a social worker, and schedulers
• 
  
• Support available from a specialized Oncology Palliative Care team
• 
  
• Access to collaboration with leading oncology experts and resources
• 
  
• Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift
• 
  
• Board certification required; AOCNP certification required for Nurse Practitioners
• 
  
• Active license and DEA required; providers willing to obtain an Oregon license will be considered
• 
  
• BLS certification required
