Job Details:

• Inpatient and call coverage position for Interventional Cardiology
• 
  
• Staffed onsite weekdays Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 
  
• On-call weekday evenings Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 
  
• On-call weekends from Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
• 
  
• Potential for some rounding responsibilities with an average of 2 inpatient admissions per physician per day
• 
  
• Call volume includes STEMI activations with a notable cancellation rate; providers will receive more phone calls while on-call than emergent callbacks
• 
  
• STEMI call is aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage
• 
  
• Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during coverage
• 
  
• No supervision of other healthcare providers required
• 
  
• Patient age demographic includes adult and geriatric populations
• 
  
• Documentation system: EPIC
• 
  
• Required procedures include Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Heart Catheterization, Medical Management of Vascular Disease, Coronary Angiograms, Embolic Protection, Carotid Artery Stenting, and Atherectomy
• 
  
• Facility has 250 total beds including 30 ICU beds
• 
  
• Board Certification required
• 
  
• Active Virginia state license required
• 
  
• BLS/ACLS required
• 
  
• Clean malpractice history required
• 
  
• Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation (pulled within 30 days)
• 
  
• Travel reimbursement provided for flight, hotel, and rental car
