Physician Assistant (PA) - Neonatology

Job Details:

• Provide inpatient neonatal intensive care unit coverage in a Level III NICU
• 
  
• Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 
  
• Care for an average of 10-12 neonates per day
• 
  
• Perform delivery room attendance and neonatal resuscitation
• 
  
• Execute procedures including PICC line placement, umbilical line placement, needle aspiration, and chest tube placement
• 
  
• Work under physician supervision with supervising physician present during assignment
• 
  
• Document patient care using Epic electronic medical record system
• 
  
• Must be board certified through ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, or equivalent organization
• 
  
• Neonatal experience required - new graduates not accepted
• 
  
• Current NRP advanced provider or instructor status required
• 
  
• Weekend coverage responsibilities included
• 
  
• Active Michigan state license required at time of assignment

This major academic medical center operates a Level I Trauma Center with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The NICU unit is transitioning to an advanced practice provider staffing model, offering opportunities for experienced neonatal practitioners to contribute to high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
