Advanced Practice (NP) - Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

Job Details:

• Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM in-facility coverage with 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM on-call, 24 hours a day
• 
  
• Ongoing opportunity with potential for 10-14 days per month
• 
  
• Board certification in Neonatology preferred/Board Eligible required
• 
  
• NRP certification required along with PALS certification
• 
  
• Required procedural skills include intubation, chest tube placement, placement of central lines, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusion, thermal cooling, and ventilator management including oscillators and iNO
• 
  
• Level III NICU without surgical sub-specialties treating cases including Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pneumothorax, Sepsis, Seizures, VLBW, NAS, and stabilization of surgical cases for transport
• 
  
• Experienced and highly skilled RN and Respiratory Therapy staff available to support the care team
• 
  
• Ancillary support includes General Pediatrics, Pediatric Neurology, Infectious Disease, and consultation contracts with Cardiology and Ophthalmology specialists
• 
  
• Full diagnostic equipment available including MRI, CT, and EEG
• 
  
• EHR system: Cerner
• 
  
• Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift in a 21-bed NICU department

This facility is a well-established healthcare organization featuring a Level III NICU that has been in operation since the early 1970s. The facility is equipped with modern technology and infrastructure, having opened a new hospital facility in 2019. It supports a comprehensive range of neonatal care services and maintains strong collaborative relationships with leading children's hospitals and specialists to ensure the highest level of patient care.
