    Description

    Opportunity:

    Advanced Practice (NP) - Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology


    Job Details:

    • Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM in facility, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM on-call, 24 hours a day

    • Ongoing opportunity with potential for 10-14 days per month

    • Board certification in Neonatology preferred/Board Eligible required along with NRP certification

    • Required procedural skills include intubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusion, thermal cooling, and ventilator management including oscillators and iNO

    • Level III NICU without surgical sub-specialties treating cases including Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pneumothorax, Sepsis, Seizures, VLBW, NAS, and stabilization of surgical cases for transport

    • Knowledgeable RN staff with strong clinical skills and Respiratory Therapy team supporting conventional ventilators, oscillators, iNO, CPAP, high-flow cannulas

    • Full diagnostic equipment available including MRI, CT, and EEG; EHR system is Cerner

    • Ancillary support includes General Pediatrics, Pediatric Neurology, Infectious Disease, and consultation contracts with Cardiology and Ophthalmology specialists

    • Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift in a 21-bed department

    • PALS certification required
