Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (NP) - Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Job Details:
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM in facility, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM on-call, 24 hours a day
Ongoing opportunity with potential for 10-14 days per month
Board certification in Neonatology preferred/Board Eligible required along with NRP certification
Required procedural skills include intubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusion, thermal cooling, and ventilator management including oscillators and iNO
Level III NICU without surgical sub-specialties treating cases including Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pneumothorax, Sepsis, Seizures, VLBW, NAS, and stabilization of surgical cases for transport
Knowledgeable RN staff with strong clinical skills and Respiratory Therapy team supporting conventional ventilators, oscillators, iNO, CPAP, high-flow cannulas
Full diagnostic equipment available including MRI, CT, and EEG; EHR system is Cerner
Ancillary support includes General Pediatrics, Pediatric Neurology, Infectious Disease, and consultation contracts with Cardiology and Ophthalmology specialists
Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift in a 21-bed department
PALS certification required
