Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Job Details:
Inpatient coverage with hospital onsite and call schedule
Shifts are 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with provider partially in-house for 6-8 hours per day (7:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), then on beeper call for the remainder of the day until 7:00 AM the following morning
Weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call required
Provider must be within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call
Approximately 5 shifts needed in July, 16 shifts in August, and approximately 10 shifts per month on an ongoing basis
Guaranteed 8 hours per day
Resuscitation skills required (approximately 1-3 resuscitations per week)
Newborn rounding skills required
Required procedures: intubation of newborn, umbilical venous catheter (UVC), needle pneumothorax decompression, and X-ray interpretation
Preferred procedures: lumbar puncture, EKG interpretation, and circumcision
Patient encounters per shift: 5-8
Active Oregon license required
DEA required
Board certified required
Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE
Minimum 2 years of case logs required
Cannot work another site while scheduled here
Clean file required for temporary privileges
