Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Job Details:
- Provide inpatient neonatal nurse practitioner coverage with hospital onsite and call responsibilities
- Work 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with partial in-house coverage for 6-8 hours daily
- Remain on beeper call for remainder of shift and must be within 30 minutes of hospital
- Handle 5-8 patient encounters per shift with resuscitation skills for 1-3 cases weekly
- Perform newborn rounding and required procedures including intubation of newborns, UVC placement, and needle pneumothorax decompression
- Interpret X-rays and provide comprehensive neonatal care
- Maintain active Oregon license, DEA registration, and board certification
- Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of neonatal experience with case logs required
- Initial coverage needs: 5 shifts in July, 16 shifts in August, then approximately 10 shifts monthly ongoing
- Flexible scheduling with sporadic days, potential for paired shifts
- Less than 25% call-back rate with guaranteed 8 hours per day
