Job Description

Opportunity:

Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology


Job Details:

  • Inpatient coverage with hospital onsite and call schedule

  • Shifts are 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with provider partially in-house for 6-8 hours per day (7:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), then on beeper call for the remainder of the day until 7:00 AM the following morning

  • Weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call required

  • Provider must be within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call

  • Approximately 5 shifts needed in July, 16 shifts in August, and approximately 10 shifts per month on an ongoing basis

  • Guaranteed 8 hours per day

  • Resuscitation skills required (approximately 1-3 resuscitations per week)

  • Newborn rounding skills required

  • Required procedures: intubation of newborn, umbilical venous catheter (UVC), needle pneumothorax decompression, and X-ray interpretation

  • Preferred procedures: lumbar puncture, EKG interpretation, and circumcision

  • Patient encounters per shift: 5-8

  • Active Oregon license required

  • DEA required

  • Board certified required

  • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE

  • Minimum 2 years of case logs required

  • Cannot work another site while scheduled here

  • Clean file required for temporary privileges
