Nurse Practitioner - Neurosurgery
Job Details:
- Work 10-hour (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM) or 12-hour (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) shifts
- On-call responsibilities include 1 weeknight call and 1 weekend day per call week
- Collaborate with 1-2 MDs in clinic daily Monday through Friday with 1 NP present
- Additional APP present 1-2 times per week
- Patient scheduling from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM with rounds required prior to clinic
- Work in inpatient/acute care setting providing neurosurgical care
- Perform diagnostic/therapeutic taps, surgical care, suturing, and wound management
- Conduct specialized procedures including EVD placement, lumbar drain, lumbar puncture, and ICP monitor placement
- Provide primary surgical care for complex wounds
- Treat adult patient population with varying volumes
- Utilize Epic EMR/documentation system
- Work with support staff including 6 MDs, 1 RN, and 4 MAs
- Board certification in Neurosurgery required
- Active South Carolina license required
