Opportunity:

Nurse Practitioner - Surgery Orthopedic

Job Details:

• 6-8 month contract covering a military leave
• 
  
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday; Operating Room on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; clinic on Wednesday; administrative duties on Friday; hours 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 
  
• Morning rounding with occasional weekend coverage required
• 
  
• Clinic days support 20-25 patients with one clinical support staff member
• 
  
• Patient population includes orthopedic patients, primarily teenagers and adults with no age restriction
• 
  
• First assist in the OR for total joint replacements, fracture repairs, foot/ankle, shoulder, knee, hip, hand/wrist, and general orthopedic procedures
• 
  
• Skills required include OR assist, clinic experience, casting/splinting/DME application, and joint injections
• 
  
• EMR system: EPIC Excellian
• 
  
• Minnesota PA or NP license required; DEA and CSR required
• 
  
• BLS certification required; Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) or equivalent PA certification within specialty required upon hire
• 
  
• Minimum 1 year of experience required with at least 1 year of OR experience; prior orthopedic or sports medicine experience preferred
