Opportunity:

Physician Assistant - Surgery Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Days shift, Monday through Friday; OR Monday/Tuesday/Thursday; Clinic Wednesday; Admin Friday; 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 
  
• Rounding on mornings and occasional weekends
• 
  
• See 20-25 patients per clinic day, primarily orthopedic patients including teenagers and adults
• 
  
• 1 clinical support staff provided for clinic days
• 
  
• First assist in OR for total joint replacements, fracture repairs, foot/ankle, shoulder, knee, hip, hand/wrist, and general orthopedics procedures
• 
  
• Skills required include OR assist, clinic experience, casting/splinting/DME application, and joint injections
• 
  
• EMR system: EPIC Excellian
• 
  
• MN license (PA or NP) required along with DEA and CSR
• 
  
• BLS certification required; Certification as Physician Assistant (NCCPA) required upon hire
• 
  
• Minimum 1+ year of experience required with 1+ year of OR experience required
• 
  
• Prior orthopedic/sports medicine experience preferred

This facility is a community hospital with 34 beds, offering a range of outpatient and surgical services including a dedicated orthopedics department. The facility supports a collaborative care environment with clinical support staff and utilizes EPIC Excellian as its electronic medical records system, ensuring streamlined patient care and documentation.
