Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)

Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 25 pounds, standing for extended periods of time.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm (or until end of clinical duties)).

Job Summary

The APP Orthopedic Surgery Hand/UE (APP) works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP functions as a member of the orthopedic surgery hand/UE surgical management team. This requires management of all aspects of patients from admission to discharge. The APP is integral in the operating room in collaboration with the attending surgeon. In some service lines the APP may perform the pre, intra op, post op and follow up care.

The APP has a strong foundation in evidenced based practice and education and ensuring an environment of safe quality care.

Qualifications

Current NCCPA certification and state licensure (or eligibility) preferred

Prior orthopedic or sports medicine experience preferred, but motivated new graduates will be considered

Strong interest in caring for athletes and contributing to clinical research

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
