Were seeking a passionate and driven Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) to join our Orthopedics team in Southeast Michigan. Opportunity Details

This position includes close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and fellow PAs to deliver exceptional care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, encompassing initial evaluation, treatment planning, and post-operative management. This role includes direct patient care, clinical decision-making, and procedural support, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated orthopedic care across all phases of treatment. The focus of this position is the evaluation and management of walk-in acute musculoskeletal injuries, along with bone health and fragility fracture care.

 

  • Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
  • Schedule:100% clinic- 40 hours a week. Monday- Friday 8:00-5:00 PM
  • Location: Primary practice location in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the expectation of providing coverage at satellite locations on an as-needed basis, as determined by practice leadership
    • Satellite locations include Canton, MI, Livonia, MI, and West Arbor, MI.
  • Specialty: Orthopedics
  • Team Size: 13 Orthopedists representing a broad range of subspecialties including: Sports medicine total joint, ortho-trauma, foot and ankle, hand patients, and general orthopedics
  • Position Highlights: Managing non-operative conditions and overseeing a fragility fracture service
  • Teaching Opportunities: Participate in resident education with opportunities to teach and collaborate with trainees rotating through the practice
  • Call Requirements: Future participation in group call once the APP compensation model is finalized. No Emergency Department call required

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of post-graduate PA experience, preferably in an orthopedics or fracture management
  • Demonstrated clinical judgment, procedural proficiency, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced orthopedic setting supporting the Sports Medicine specialty.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and engagement
  • APPs: Board certified in specialty prior to employment
  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA license
  • BLS certification (must be maintained)/ ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)
