Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Pulmonary Outpatient Clinic
MercyOne Genesis - Davenport, Iowa
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Pulmonary team in an outpatient-only setting. This role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered care in partnership with our Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians, supporting continuity of care for patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care for pulmonary patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic respiratory conditions
- Collaborate closely with Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians to manage shared patient panels
- Conduct follow-up visits, medication management, and care plan adjustments
- Coordinate care across specialties, including referrals, testing, and procedures
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Review diagnostic studies such as pulmonary function tests, imaging, and lab results
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Practice Details
- 100% outpatient pulmonary clinic
- No inpatient responsibilities
- Work alongside a collaborative team of Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians
- Established patient base with strong referral network
- Supportive clinical and administrative staff
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Board certified (or eligible)
- Active or eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa
- Experience in pulmonary, critical care, or internal medicine preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time, weekday schedule
- No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
