Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - Surgery Trauma
Job Details:
Coverage needed for specific scheduled shifts including day shifts and swing shifts across multiple date ranges
Schedule runs 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM for day shifts with call coverage from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM on select evenings
Very few call obligations required
Team covers trauma, 100% emergency general surgery, ED unclaimed cases, and anchors the trauma/surgical ICU
Must be comfortable charting and rounding on patients
Epic EMR system experience preferred
ICU experience is beneficial as a third tier to trauma/acute care surgery experience
Must be able to function as first assist for OR cases
Critical care privileges are not required but ICU experience is helpful
First Assist certification is not required for NPs but first assist functionality is expected
Candidate must have experience in high volume Level II trauma centers working on a Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team
