Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- 3+ years experience in an urgent care setting
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certification
- Master's Degree
- State of Michigan License and DEA
- ACLS and BLS Certification
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
- Evaluating and treating both pediatric and adult patients with acute, non-emergent conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as X-rays and lab work
- Performing minor procedures such as wound care and splinting
- Conducting physical exams and immunizations
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Utilizing EMR systems for accurate documentation and efficient workflow
