Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year, depending on experience
We are an established apparel wholesale company seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have prior accounting/bookkeeping experience specifically within the apparel wholesale industry and a strong understanding of the day-to-day financial processes involved in a wholesale business. QuickBooks experience is required, and NetSuite experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities
Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records
Handle Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R)
Process customer payments, deposits, credits, and adjustments
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts
Prepare and process vendor payments
Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with collections
Review and reconcile customer deductions, chargebacks, credits, and returns
Maintain accurate customer and vendor account records
Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures
Reconcile sales, inventory-related transactions, and cost of goods sold
Prepare financial reports and provide information to management as needed
Work closely with management, sales, operations, and warehouse teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
Maintain organized accounting documentation and records
Assist outside accountants/CPAs with year-end reporting and other accounting needs
Perform additional bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities as required
Qualifications
Apparel wholesale accounting/bookkeeping experience is required
QuickBooks experience is required
NetSuite experience is preferred
Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Experience working with wholesale customer accounts, deductions, returns, credits, and chargebacks
Strong understanding of general bookkeeping and accounting principles
Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments
Compensation & Benefits
$60,000–$80,000 annual salary, depending on experience
Up to 15 days of paid vacation per year
