Make an impact behind the scenes of healthcare by helping ensure claims are resolved accurately and efficiently. As an Accounts Receivable Appeals Representative, you'll play a key role in reviewing insurance denials, preparing appeals, and supporting timely reimbursement for physician services.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll investigate insurance claim denials, determine the appropriate next steps, and submit appeals in accordance with payer requirements. You'll work closely with internal teams and insurance carriers to help resolve outstanding claims while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review assigned claim denials and determine appropriate appeal or rebill actions
• Research payer requirements and identify the best resolution path for denied claims
• Submit appeals and supporting documentation to insurance carriers
• Follow up with carriers on pending appeals and unresolved claim statuses
• Enter and maintain accurate claim rejection and appeal information in billing systems
• Escalate complex provider or carrier-related issues to senior team members
• Review payer policies and provider manuals to stay current on billing requirements
• Identify recurring claim issues, processing errors, and denial trends
• Recommend process improvements to help prevent avoidable denials and timely filing issues
• Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team and participate in department meetings
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

You Bring

• 1+ year of medical billing experience
• Knowledge of physician billing policies, procedures, and insurance claim processes
• Proficiency with computer systems and data entry
• Experience working with insurance carriers, claim denials, or appeals preferred
• Ability to interpret payer guidelines and billing requirements
