Appliance Delivery & Installation Technician
The Appliance Delivery & Installation Technician is responsible for safely transporting, delivering, and installing household appliances for our customers. This role combines physical labor, technical skill, and customer service to ensure every customer receives a smooth, professional installation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and deliver appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and microwaves
- Install appliances according to manufacturer specifications and local codes
- Remove old appliances when required and prepare them for haul-away
- Test appliances after installation to confirm proper operation
- Communicate clearly with customers about installation procedures and general product features.
- Document deliveries, installations, and service notes using company systems
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and safe working condition
- Follow all safety protocols, including lifting techniques and electrical/water connection procedures
- Work collaboratively with sales staff, warehouse staff, and customer service teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in appliance delivery, installation, or related trades (preferred but not always required)
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances with proper equipment
- Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge (preferred but not always required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
- Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
- Work performed in customer homes, businesses, and company vehicles
- Exposure to varying weather conditions during loading/unloading
