As a Delivery Driver Assistant / Cleaner, you will play an important role in both our delivery operations and the preparation of appliances for our customers. You will assist our delivery drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering appliances while also spending time inside our store and warehouse cleaning and preparing appliances.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is hardworking, dependable, physically capable, detail-oriented, and willing to take pride in doing the job right.

Whether you are helping deliver an appliance to a customer's home or cleaning an appliance inside our store, your work directly impacts the customer's experience and the reputation of our company.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Assistance

• Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading appliances safely and efficiently.

• Help move refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, and other appliances.

• Properly secure appliances for transportation.

• Help protect customer homes, floors, walls, doors, and other property during deliveries.

• Assist with bringing appliances into customers' homes when required.

• Help the driver navigate routes and locate delivery addresses.

• Assist with keeping the delivery truck organized throughout the day.

• Follow all company safety procedures when moving and transporting appliances.

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers.

• Help address minor issues that arise during deliveries and communicate larger issues to the driver or management.

• Assist with maintaining a professional appearance and customer experience throughout the delivery process.

In-Store Appliance Cleaning & Preparation

Appliance cleaning will be performed inside our store/warehouse and is a regular responsibility of this position.

When you are not assisting with deliveries, you will help clean and prepare appliances at our facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Clean and prepare used appliances before they are placed on the showroom floor or scheduled for delivery.

• Clean refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, and other appliances according to company procedures.

• Thoroughly clean both the interior and exterior of appliances.

• Remove dirt, grease, stains, residue, rust, and other buildup when appropriate.

• Pay close attention to areas customers will see and frequently touch.

• Follow company-approved cleaning procedures.

• Properly use cleaning products, degreasers, bleach solutions, rust-removal products, soap, pads, towels, and other cleaning supplies.

• Follow all instructions and safety procedures when working with cleaning chemicals.

• Inspect appliances after cleaning and identify areas that need additional attention.

• Report damage, defects, missing parts, or other issues discovered while cleaning.

• Make sure appliances meet the company's cleanliness and presentation standards.

• Keep the cleaning area clean, organized, and properly stocked.

• Clean up the work area after completing each appliance.

• Properly store cleaning supplies and equipment after use.

• Notify management when cleaning supplies or equipment need to be replenished or replaced.

Safety & Equipment

• Follow proper lifting and moving techniques.

• Use appliance-moving equipment properly and safely.

• Assist with vehicle inspections and safety checks.

• Follow company safety procedures at all times.

• Properly use straps, dollies, moving blankets, tools, and other delivery equipment.

• Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or injuries to management.

• Maintain awareness of surroundings while moving large and heavy appliances.

• Follow all company procedures for safely handling appliances and cleaning chemicals.

Vehicle & Workplace Cleanliness

• Help keep delivery vehicles clean and organized.

• Help clean and maintain delivery equipment.

• Keep tools, straps, blankets, dollies, and other equipment organized.

• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and work area.

• Properly return tools and cleaning supplies after use.

• Help maintain an environment where appliances are stored, cleaned, prepared, and delivered safely and professionally.

Important Job Expectation

This is a dual-role position.

You will spend part of your time assisting with appliance deliveries and part of your time working inside our store/warehouse cleaning and preparing appliances.

The amount of time spent on delivery versus cleaning will vary depending on the company's daily needs and delivery schedule.

When there are no deliveries requiring assistance, you are expected to actively work on in-store responsibilities, including cleaning appliances, organizing equipment, maintaining the work area, and completing other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

• Ability to work safely around cleaning chemicals and follow chemical safety instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness.

• Willingness to perform both delivery and in-store cleaning responsibilities.

• Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision.

• Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.

• Dependable and punctual.

• Professional attitude and appearance.

• Ability to work well as part of a team.

• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to commute or relocate to Lake Charles, LA 70601.

• Full-time availability: 40–45 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends.

• Previous delivery, warehouse, appliance, cleaning, or moving experience is a plus but not required.
