Deaconess Health System is seeking an Application Analyst I to join our Digital Technology Services (DTS) team. In this role, you'll support, configure, and enhance clinical and business applications that power patient care and operations across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, building solutions, and partnering directly with end users to improve workflows and system performance. You'll serve as a trusted resource and Subject Matter Expert while contributing to projects, new development, and ongoing system optimization.

Job Overview
Provide escalation support, configuration, and maintenance for assigned applications. Partner with clinical and business teams to gather requirements and translate needs into technical solutions. Develop reports, scripts, automated processes, and system enhancements. Support testing, upgrades, integrations, and optimization initiatives. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for supported systems. Participate in projects and continuous improvement efforts to enhance workflow efficiency and system reliability.
What You Will Do
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated application issues. Perform discovery and workflow analysis with end users. Build and configure screens, reports, queries, and automation tools. Support system maintenance, updates, and performance tuning. Collaborate with other DTS teams on integrations and data exchange. Create and maintain technical and support documentation. Follow change management and production control processes. Provide user training and ongoing support. Develop deep expertise in assigned systems and recommend improvements.
What You Will Need
Bachelor's degree in CIS, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of healthcare or enterprise application development/support experience. Experience troubleshooting and supporting business or clinical applications. Knowledge of SQL queries, reporting tools, and data analysis. Familiarity with integrations, interfaces, and system testing. Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
