Application Analyst II

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Partners with internal businesses to improve/address business or technology gaps or deficiencies, communications, system availability, data integration and customer service.
• Enhances the performance of systems based on analysis and tuning of systems.
• Provides leadership, advice, and support to management, staff, and system users in the application of technology to business projects and services.
• Develops requirements and coordinates introduction of enhancements or new products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Area #1 (50 %)

• Provides software support or technical support services typically in a defined moderately complex project
• Conducts a wide range of moderately complex technical analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements
• Reviews system requirements and business processes; debugs and implements software solutions. Makes recommendations on process improvements
• Reviews software policies, standards and procedures and make recommendations for change.
• Advise users in the planning of user acceptance testing,
• Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow in system integration testing.
• Manage environments, Implement/Deploy software upgrade to various environments and support post implementation.
• Creates Support approach, Estimation, Software Deployment Guide, Supplemental or non-functional specification

Area #2 (50 %)

• Defines and documents software installation and configuration processes.
• Determines software support requirements
• Coordinates and communicates applications support activities with key stakeholders
• Reviews platform requirements and coordinates with vendors and other IT groups in building/maintaining hardware, 3rd party software, patches and network related components to comply with IT standards and procedures.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• 5+ years' experience in progressively advanced IT roles in related technologies.

• Working experience in:

• Architecting business systems integrations.

• Programming, documentation and defining interface requirements.

• Software, and system administration.

• Database systems such as Microsoft SQL or Oracle

• Good knowledge of

• Financial Banking systems, such as Fiserv are a plus.

• Applications development methodologies including SDLC and project life cycle.

• Corporate Security.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Banking and regulatory compliance experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less.

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:

• Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

COMPENSATION:

The base pay range for this position is USD $95,000.00/Yr. - USD $135,000.00/Yr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
