About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Developer focused on application and data integrations to support and enhance the technology powering a large multi-location retail organization. This role combines software development with integration engineering, ensuring that data, systems, and applications across merchandising, store, and enterprise platforms work seamlessly together.

The Developer will collaborate with product owners and an agile development team to design, build, and support integration services, APIs, data-driven workflows, and cloud-based components. This position plays a key role in modernization efforts, including leveraging AI capabilities and secure coding best practices.

Location
Hybrid role based in Bradenton, Florida. Relocation assistance may be considered. Remote is not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain application and system integrations, including APIs, services, and event-driven processes
  • Support data flows between merchandising systems, store applications, cloud services, and enterprise platforms
  • Collaborate with product owners and business partners to analyze user stories and translate them into technical solutions
  • Apply secure coding practices, performance optimization, and clean architecture principles
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Mentor other developers, including both local and offshore team members
  • Contribute to AI-driven transformation initiatives to improve team productivity and code quality
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose integration or application issues to ensure reliability and stability
  • Maintain and enhance monitoring dashboards and participate in on-call support as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement in code quality, architecture, and development processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience in data integration or backend services development
  • Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and event-based integrations
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, or Python
  • Hands-on experience with cloud integration technologies, preferably Azure including Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Storage, and API Management
  • Strong experience with SSIS, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, deployment, and configuration management
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts such as SQL Server and Oracle
  • Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development quality and efficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to diagnose issues across applications, integrations, and data flows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in retail, ideally apparel retail
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices including CI/CD, Git, and pipelines
  • Exposure to enterprise data platforms such as Oracle, DB2, Snowflake, or similar cloud data technologies
  • Experience with integration patterns such as Pub/Sub, message queues, SOAP, or enterprise service buses
  • Background developing or supporting merchandising, inventory, POS, or related retail systems
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed systems
