One of Airetel Staffing's valued clients is looking for a Application Developer located in Remote.
Provides application development services typically as a of a project team or in an application support role. Developers analyze, design, code, test and implement systematic solutions to meet customer requirements that adhere to Highmark IT standards and policies. Developers provide general support to maintain applications that meet the service levels, system availability, performance and quality levels required by their customers.
" This is for a COBOL Mainframe Developer
" Must be a US citizen
" 100% remote (prefer candidates who reside on the East Coast)
" Will work EST hours
" Bill rate: $75 - $80
" Contract to hire opportunity is possible, but it is not guaranteed. If a FT position is available and the resource is doing an exemplary job, the hiring manager would consider converting the resource. Conversion salary would be +/-$82,000
" Include candidate's conversion salary in submit form
" Must be willing to be on the call rotation (to be available nights and weekends), which occurs every couple months
" Oracle for timesheets
" Candidate MUST complete the COBOL Mainframe Developer Assessment. Include the completed assessment link in their submit form.
" Must have at least 7+ years of experience as a COBOL programmer
" Higher level of education or 6+ years of additional experience in lieu of higher education
" Must be able to program in COBOL
" Must have experience with code documentation and processing
" Agile/Scrum Methodology
" Team player
" Self-starter
" Strong Core Behaviors
" Experience with DB2 and IMS preferred
" NOT interested in candidates with Python experience
