The City of Lynchburg has a strong history of using technology to enhance City operations and services to the community. Since 2004, the Center for Digital Governments Digital Cities Survey has consistently ranked Lynchburg among the Top 7 cities nationally in its population category for the strategic and effective use of information technology.
The City of Lynchburg is seeking an Application Development Analyst II to support the development, implementation, integration, and maintenance of enterprise and departmental applications. This position works with departments to understand business needs, analyze processes, develop technical solutions, and support the effective operation of City applications and systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience with application development and business systems support, including Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Basic, C#, ASP.NET, and Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with application integrations, data analysis, reporting, and enterprise software systems is also beneficial.
This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work opportunities after six months and the successful completion of the departments required in-person orientation and training.
