Application Engineer-Bearings

We are seeking a dedicated expert with deep technical expertise in the application of precision bearings for high-speed rotating machinery. Ideally, candidates will have hands-on experience in the service of machine tools or machining/grinding processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage operations within our service facility
- Provide guidance and support to Repair Technicians, enhancing their skills and output
- Collaborate with the Midwest Service Center to efficiently manage workloads and facilitate prompt repair services
- Offer sales support through technical advice and develop cost and timeline estimates
- Analyze spindle failures and propose improvements for future enhancements
- Approve and finalize spindle evaluation reports, calculating comprehensive quotes for repairs
- Assign repair tasks to technicians based on their expertise
- Scrutinize final repair reports, ensuring repairs are completed to high standards and customer expectations are met

Requirements:
- Strong foundational knowledge of precision bearing applications in high-speed settings
- Proven experience in machine tool service or machining
- Strong ethics and self-motivation
- Solid background in mechanical or electromechanical engineering, with capabilities in calculations related to rotating equipment
- Proficient in diagnosing bearing and mechanical component failures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to organizational excellence
- Team-oriented with a focus on exceptional customer service
