Application Engineer-Bearings

Seeking an expert to utilize technical expertise in precision bearings for high-speed rotating machinery. This role demands a strong proficiency in machine tool services, particularly in machining and grinding.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead the operations of the service facility, ensuring seamless workflow and high standards.
• Guide and develop Repair Technicians through training and supervision.
• Collaborate with the Midwest Service Center to optimize repair timelines and efficiencies.
• Assist the Sales team by providing in-depth technical insights, cost projections, and scheduling advice.
• Diagnose spindle failures and recommend enhancements.
• Compile and verify spindle evaluation reports to determine repair expenses, facilitating accurate quotations.
• Allocate repair tasks to technicians based on their skills and experience levels.
• Validate final repair reports to ensure compliance with quality standards for top-notch spindle performance.

Required Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of super precision rolling element bearings in rapid rotation systems is essential. Prior involvement in machine tool servicing or machining/grinding is preferred.

• High ethical standards with self-driven motivation.
• Background in mechanical or electromechanical systems with expertise in engineering calculations for rotating machines.
• Skill in high-precision bearing design and application.
