Application Engineer
Location: Billerica, MA area

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for translating customer technical requirements into product specifications, designing and validating new features, and developing custom mechanical components. It also includes maintaining technical documentation, providing on-site support, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful product implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and interpret customer mechanical, electrical, and software requirements
• Define internal specifications for new hardware and software features
• Test and validate product features to ensure alignment with customer expectations
• Develop product concepts, simulations, and custom mechanical designs
• Provide on-site system integration support and customer training
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve product performance and reliability issues
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, presentations, and release notes
• Develop project plans and timelines; participate in cross-functional team meetings

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks), MS Office, Adobe Suite, Python, and XML
• Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation
• Effective problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
• Professional, team-oriented, and customer-focused approach

Additional Requirements:

• Approximately 20% travel, including domestic and international (Asia)

Education:

• BS or MS in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (robotics/mechatronics preferred)
• Salary range, $95,000 - $130,000
