Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support a specialized Legal Technology application within the enterprise. This role is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting a critical eDiscovery research platform used to fulfill electronic discovery requests across the organization.
The application is hosted in the Azure public cloud and requires a strong technical professional with experience in application support, API development, database management, and cloud-based deployments. While experience with eDiscovery technologies is a plus, it is not required. The team can provide domain training, with the primary focus being strong technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Support, maintain, and enhance a Legal Technology application supporting eDiscovery research requests
Develop, update, and maintain APIs and application integrations
Write and execute database queries to support application functionality and troubleshooting
Create, modify, and maintain database objects, including stored procedures
Manage and support an Azure-hosted application environment
Deploy releases and application updates within Azure
Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform, to make and manage application changes
Monitor application health, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements
Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure application stability and performance
Contribute to future modernization initiatives as the platform evolves
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of software engineering, application engineering, or application support experience
Strong experience developing and supporting APIs
Hands-on experience with .NET Core development
Strong SQL Server experience, including query development and stored procedures
Experience supporting applications hosted in Microsoft Azure
Experience deploying releases and managing cloud-based applications
Knowledge of Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools
Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing applications
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with eDiscovery platforms or legal technology solutions
Experience modernizing legacy or established applications
Familiarity with application architecture and cloud modernization practices
