  • Develop and maintain generator design standards, specifications, and integration guidelines.
  • Establish performance criteria including load acceptance, transient response, redundancy strategy, and paralleling architecture.
  • Define standard configurations for modular and packaged generator solutions.

System Integration

  • Lead integration of generators with:
    • Switchgear and paralleling gear
    • UPS systems
    • EPMS platforms
    • Fuel systems
    • Automatic transfer switches (ATS)

  • Support microgrid and distributed energy integration strategies where applicable.

Product Development Support

  • Partner with Product Engineering to ensure generator systems are designed for manufacturability and modular deployment.
  • Support new product development efforts involving integrated generator modules or power blocks.

  • Contribute to value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in generator system design, integration, or commissioning within mission-critical or industrial environments.
  • Deep understanding of medium- and low-voltage generator systems, paralleling gear, and emergency power systems.
  • Hands-on experience supporting startup, load bank testing, and synchronization.
  • Strong knowledge of generator control systems and protection schemes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience with large-scale data center, healthcare, utility, or industrial backup power systems.
  • Familiarity with microgrid applications and hybrid generation systems.
