This position is part of Novanta’s ATI Industrial Automation business unit. ATI is the world’s leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. Summary
ATI Industrial Automation is seeking a dynamic, proactive and bilingual (Spanish speaking) Field Application Engineer to manage our Tool Changer and Material Removal product lines. This role is a perfect fit for an individual with a strong foundation in engineering principles and a passion for robotics and automation. It is a remote field based role in Texas covering the US and Mexico.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide product technical support to customers in the pre-sale and post-sale process
Accompany sales personnel on customer visits to identify new opportunities and assist in closing sales by providing technical expertise and product knowledge.
Conduct product demonstrations using Robots and presentations to showcase product capabilities at tradeshows, conferences, and customer sites.
Develop novel applications for ATI products using Robots and publish videos and application notes
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to customers in a timely fashion.
Use Salesforce for case management and customer support.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive product and process innovation.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Controls, or related Engineering discipline.
Spanish and English fluency.
3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in the automation industry.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
Experience and familiarity with Robot (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, etc.) programming is desirable.
Experience with SolidWorks and MS Office Suite.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
Travel Requirements
Up to 40% in the United States and Mexico
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $100,795 to $125,000 annually based on full-time employment. Compensation offers are determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
Certain positions may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentive programs. Incentive eligibility and structure may vary depending on the applicable plan and may be discretionary or non-discretionary.
