Application Programmer III

Location: Charlotte, NC

Salary Range: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and prototyping Android mobile applications for both internal and external use. This role requires expertise in Android native test automation solutions using Kotlin.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering.
• Typically requires 5-7 years of experience in mobile development.
• Proven experience as an app developer with 5 years on the Android Platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Development experience in Core Java and automated tests using frameworks like Appium.
• Proficient in Objective-C, Swift, Swift UI, and extensive knowledge of XCode.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

• Experience with continuous integration & Unit tests.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, and usage of Camera API's.
• Prior work experience in the client's industry.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

• Design, develop, and prototype Android mobile applications for phones and tablets.
• Participate in the full app lifecycle: develop automation scripts, test, and release to the app store.
• Collaborate with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates.
• Drive best practices for the continuous improvement of products, processes, and tools.
• Write and maintain documentation for all features in development.
