Job Description
We are seeking a Full Stack Developer (Online Banking, Mobile Web & APIs) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern front-end frameworks and a proven ability to design, deliver, and support scalable, secure, and highly available digital banking solutions.
Role Logistics
- Approved location: Charlotte, NC. Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week.
- Start: Oct/Nov. One to two interview rounds. Video and in-person required. Glider ID verification.
- Max 3 submissions per vendor. Resume bucket: 3 roles.
- On resume: include current location, relocation plan, availability/start date, and cooling-off status if applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications for Online Banking and Mobile Web platforms.
- Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java-based technologies.
- Develop responsive and accessible web applications with modern front-end frameworks.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality experiences.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
- Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
- Create automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to improve quality and reliability.
- Monitor performance and address scalability, resiliency, and availability concerns.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support releases across environments.
- Drive continuous improvement using AI-assisted development, DevOps practices, and automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of full stack development experience with enterprise applications.
- Strong hands-on Java development experience.
- Back end: Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, SQL/Oracle and NoSQL, Git-based source control.
- Front end: Angular or React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Web Design.
- DevOps & automation: Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, test automation, OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Cloud & architecture: Cloud-native development, containerization, API security, distributed systems, event-driven architecture.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
- Understanding of secure application development principles.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting large-scale consumer-facing digital platforms.
- Background in Online Banking, Mobile Banking, or Financial Services applications.
- Knowledge of API Gateway technologies and API lifecycle management.
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and Kafka.
- Experience with performance engineering and observability tools.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
