Job Description

We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Groovy, and Spring-based web application development and a proven ability to deliver resilient online banking features and resolve production issues through effective triage and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain online banking applications and Java-based backend services.
• Participate in technical triage, troubleshoot issues, and drive timely resolution in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Build and enhance RESTful web services using Spring frameworks.
• Contribute to performance tuning and stability improvements across high-volume systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with J2EE and Spring frameworks.
• Proficiency in Groovy and Java for server-side development.
• Experience with tools such as Splunk, Toad, and SOAP UI.
• Strong analytical skills to break down requirements and solve complex problems.
• Clear interpersonal communication for technical and business discussions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with high-volume, customer-facing applications.
• Hands-on work with Spring MVC and RESTful service design.
• Performance tuning with understanding of JVM internals.
• Background in mathematics or statistics.
• Proven task management and leadership within Agile teams.

Work Setting & Process Details:

• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week in Charlotte, NC.
• Interview process includes 1-2 rounds. Video and in-person attendance are required.
• Start month target is October or November.
• Glider ID verification will be required.
• This role may convert to full time. Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
