Position Summary: We are looking for an entry-level Application Support Analyst I for Dentistry. You will provide front-line functional and technical user support for the core modules of the EMR and/or billing applications to ensure they meet business needs, and participate in basic system maintenance. You will also work with a variety of applications used by the Dental School that interface with its equipment and clinical environment. You will be working off a ticketing system to resolve issues from the dental school and clinic. This role will be hybrid, though early on, it will need to be on-site more for training. Position Key Accountabilities:Provides first-line technical and functional support for core modules of the EMR and billing applications received from the help desk or user community.Provides end-user training for core modules of the EMR and/or billing applications.Participate in the evaluation, diagnosis, and resolution of problems reported by users.Participate in the maintenance and building of EMR and/or billing application dictionaries.Manage the security access module of EMR and/or billing applications.Manage the queue of all inquiries, problems, and requests submitted by the user community to be addressed by the support teamPerforms other duties as assigned. Certification/Skills:Knowledge of computer software, hardware, and programming.Work may involve handling biohazardous, chemical, and radiological materials, as well as operating associated equipment. Required safety training and appropriate engineering and administrative controls, including the use of personal protective equipment, must be followed. Minimum Education:Bachelor''s Degree in computer science or related field; or relevant four years of information technology experience in lieu of education required. Minimum Experience:1 year in applications support, preferably Allscripts/Sunrise, Siemens/Invision, and/or GE/IDX. Experience in a dental environment is a plus, but not required. Physical Requirements:Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.Security Sensitive:This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094. To the extent that a position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Texas Business and Commerce Code §117.001(2), the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired for and to continue to be employed in that position. Personnel in such positions, and similarly situated state contractors, will be routinely reviewed to determine whether things such as criminal history or continuous connections to the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the applicant, employee, or contractor from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure. A foreign adversary is a nation listed in 15 C.F.R. §791.4. Residency Requirement:Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas. This is a hybrid role.
