Hybrid position

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to support critical front-office trading applications within an equities environment. This role will partner closely with traders, portfolio managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of trading systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting equity trading platforms, financial applications, and real-time production environments, with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced front-office environment.

Key Responsibilities

" Provide front-office application support for equities trading systems, partnering directly with traders, portfolio managers, and business users.

" Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across trading applications, order management systems (OMS), execution platforms, and market data environments.

" Perform incident management, root cause analysis, problem resolution, and production support activities to ensure system reliability.

" Support trading workflows including order execution, trade lifecycle, market data, risk processes, and portfolio management activities.

" Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to investigate technical issues and deliver application enhancements.

" Manage application releases, upgrades, deployments, and testing activities within a controlled production environment.

" Develop and maintain support documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.

" Analyze logs, system performance metrics, and application behavior to proactively identify potential issues.

" Provide real-time support during market hours and assist with high-priority trading incidents.

Required Qualifications

" Experience supporting financial applications within equities, capital markets, asset management, or trading environments.

" Strong understanding of front-office trading workflows and interaction with traders or portfolio management teams.

" Experience supporting order management systems (OMS), execution management systems (EMS), market data platforms, or trading applications.

" Strong troubleshooting skills across application, database, and integration layers.

" Experience with SQL, scripting, APIs, and production support tools.

" Ability to work in high-pressure environments where system availability and responsiveness are critical.

" Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business users and technical teams.

Preferred Experience

" Background supporting equity trading desks, hedge funds, asset managers, proprietary trading firms, or investment banks.

" Experience with FIX protocol, market data feeds, trading APIs, or electronic trading platforms.

" Experience supporting portfolio management, risk, compliance, or investment technology applications.

" Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, cloud technologies, and automation tools.

" Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with development teams.
