Application Support Engineer

Title: Application Support Engineer
Location: Needham, MA Onsite
Duration: 18 Months of Contract

Must-have skills:
Python Software Development
Structured Query Language (SQL)
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Application support & development.
Have knowledge of Equities & Fixed income asset classes and related fund processing flows.

Nice-to-have skills:
Java
Candidate must have Capital Market industry experience as this role responsibilities includes both technical and function support.

Responsibilities:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will support multiple fund applications, migrate jobs and infrastructure to modern technologies such as APSS and Python
Experienced with distributed application platforms: Windows, LINUX, SQL.
Ability to lead triage and solve production outage situations under tight deadlines, including root cause and problem resolution follow-ups.
Experienced on monitoring tools such as Splunk, Kibana
Have programming skills: Python,
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have knowledge of ITIL SDLC principles and execution.
Experienced in coordinating with offshore/onshore support, business, vendor, and infrastructure partners.
Hands on experience providing direct support to front/back-office applications.
Support knowledge sharing and documentation efforts to build a robust support knowledge base.
Provide weekend & On Call Support during after business hours (until 9PM)
